Dear Walnut Square Families,

We are excited to share a special edition of the Walnut Square News featuring our student hosts Gabe, Hazel, and Jace!  In this broadcast, our students explain the Mediation Process—a powerful tool we use at school to help students use their words, solve problems respectfully, and learn from their mistakes.   As of this month, our “Superstars” have successfully participated in 276 mediation meetings this year! These meetings focus on three simple ground rules:  speaking one at a time, using respectful “I statements” instead of blaming language, and working together to find a compromise and move forward.
